A little about me…

I grew up in Chesterfield County and have lived here all my life, attending Trinity and then VCU. I knew as a small child I was born to be in sales. My mother is fond of telling the story of me as a young girl making and selling potholders in our neighborhood. She describes my handmade sign hung out on the street as reading, “POTHOLDS $1.00”. My sales experience only grew over the years, spending twelve years in retail, then obtaining my real estate license in 1999 and joining the Long & Foster REALTORS.  Over the years, my enthusiasm for sales and customer service has improved to a level of excellence – not to mention my spelling.

In 1999 I joined Long & Foster REALTORS, working as a REALTOR and Relocation Specialist. During that time I enjoyed a vast amount of success. I was named “Rookie of the Year” following my first year in the real estate business. I was also recognized as a Multi-Million Dollar Producer, Monthly Sales Leader, Monthly Listing Leader and Monthly Closing Leader.  I was also named as a member of the Master's Club and recognized as being the “Top Producing Agent" for the last 9 years”. I have received the RUBY Award from the Richmond Association of REALTORS, as well as the Master’s Award from Long & Foster REALTORS – both are the highest awards that can be given to an agent.

In 2005, I got my Broker's license to further expand my knowledge of my profession.  However, main interest in real estate is helping people buy and sell homes, not managing other REALTORS.  Therefore, I am an Associate Broker with Long & Foster REALTORS and have two Managing Brokers within my office.

My Client-First Philosophy

There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network - all of which are hallmarks of how I work.

That said, in my experience as a Richmond area real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.

This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.
