Selling Your Home

For most families, their home is their largest financial asset, and deciding to sell it is a big decision that involves a lot of preparation and work. When you're ready to sell it's important to have an experienced real estate professional handle the details involved in the successful sale of a home for top dollar.

Putting your house on the market usually begins by meeting with me through what is commonly referred to as a “listing appointment”. During this appointment we will talk about what to expect during the home sale process. I will come prepared with information about your neighborhood and recent properties available or have sold comparable to your home. This information is gathered from the Multiple List Service (or MLS) and is the standard used by realtors to research and sell homes.

You’ll also want to be aware of any potential changes you can make to maximize the value of your home. We want your home to be the most attractive product it can be. By presenting it in its highest functionality and most appealing form, many times we can considerably shorten time on the market. Sometimes small changes make the biggest difference – from a fresh coat of paint to removing excess clutter from any rooms – the details do matter.

Once your home is ready for sale, we will provide a comprehensive marketing plan in order to sell your home as quickly as possible. In addition to putting it in the MLS system, we will promote your property through avenues such as open houses or advertisements in local papers and real estate periodicals. We follow up with every agent who shows your home in order to obtain feedback that will assist us in the sale process. Lastly, when you receive an offer or contract on your home, we will guide you every step of the way until the day of closing.
